What's Happening

Well we've given in, and let the winter weather win.  We will be closed today (Friday) to ensure the safety of our employees, and so as not to tempt any of you into braving the blizzard in the name of a cupcake! We'll be open tomorrow, though maybe a little later than usual. Stay tuned for further updates. Now get out there and make some snow angels!

We are pleased to offer super delicious gluten-free and vegan dining options, but if you have a serious allergy please know that our small kitchen is not-gluten free or peanut free.  Check out our menu to see the days that each specialty will be offered on the cupcake menu.  We do usually have something to satisfy either need everyday.  Call to check!  AND we also offer an "allergen-free" - no gluten, no eggs, no dairy - cupcake available by special order.  We can bake it up in chocolate or carrot flavors!


Happy Deeds...                         

Happy Cakes is saving the world...one cupcake at a time.  Ok, not really, but we're doing what we can!  We are really proud of our efforts to give back to our community.  We have developed some great relationships with local charities, both large and small.  In 2010, we donated well over 25,000 cupcakes in efforts to raise funds...that's nearly $70,000 worth of cupcakes!  Some of the amazing organizations we've worked with are:  The Denver Zoo, Ronald McDonald House, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The Children's Hospital, Rocky Mountain Children's Hospital, Make A Wish Foundation, Volunteers of America, Tennyson Center for Children, The Denver Rescue Misson, Catholic Charities, Boys and Girls Club, Denver's Road Home, 100s of schools, and countless more!  ...because everyone deserves a little sugar!

We are also saving the Earth! (hee) We've added composting to our recycling program.  A huge amount of the waste we produce is either compostable or recyclable!  So now Happy Cakes is leaving the landfills hungry!  Many thanks to Waste Farmers.  Check them out, and join in the effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Stink Bug Project 

The Stink Bug Project  supports families stricken with childhood cancer. They provide well-trained, loving companion dogs to kids fighting cancer...a dog, a best friend, a comfort.  We think it's an amazing program, started by an 8 year old girl who was fighting her own fight with cancer.  Go Alison!
This young entrepreneur came up with a great way to raise money to buy dogs for kids...Alison created Stink Bug Dog Bones, and you can buy them at Happy Cakes!  100% of Happy Cakes proceeds from the sale of the Stink Bug Dog Bones will go back to The Stink Bug Project.  Let's get some dogs!
