CONGRATULATIONS ELIZABETH & PAUL!!!
They ran away with a $20,000 wedding!Sunday, February 6 we hosted an urban adventure race to the altar...Hitched in the Highlands 2!
To catch you up... last year we pulled together an urban adventure race
to win a $20,000 wedding. Here's how it worked: we gathered a group of
friends and fellow wedding-services vendors located in the Highlands
neighborhood to donate their part of a wedding (Anna Be donated a
gown, Mile High Station donated the venue, Mondo Vino donated liquor,
Lola donated a bridal luncheon, and on and on). It's an amazing
package, and this year we added even more great businesses like Oster
Jewelers, Pure Barre and Bella Bridesmaids, to help us do it again! Applications from engaged
couples were collected, and in January we selected fifteen couples to be
contestants in the Amazing Race-style contest. Competitors knew nothing
about the race other than that it would entail physical, mental, and
teamwork challenges and would run through the Highlands.
They deciphered the clues, plotted their course, and headed off…and the
first couple back to Happy Cakes was the winner! The wedding will be help April 10, so the winners have just two quick months to plan their
wedding. And if last year's wedding is any indication, it will be another gorgeous event!
We all had so much fun, and extend our congratulations and thanks to all
fifteen couples who competed, as well as a huge thanks to all our amazing vendors and volunteers! Below are just a few of the shots David Lynn Photography captured on race day...more to come!

Stay tuned for Hitched in the Highlands 3!
